The scripts are not an option for our user community. We created a simple csv file for Thunderbird 2.x that has one contact. Users can import this new address book with one entry. The entry is actually the Zimbra csv field names.

Once imported this new card can be copied to any address book. After this card is in the address book you export from Thunderbird as you would normally. Then open your csv file, remove the original headers & move the fake address to the top and now you can import into Zimbra. I expect this can be duplicated with any mail client...
