Do you have any firewall or SElinux set-up on the zimbra server - if you do then disable them.
No but I would like to activate it in future (firewall, not SElinux)... Why is it unrecommended? even if I configure it ad hoc?
Do you have a local DNS server installed, is it having any problems? Is it set-up correctly?
Is your /etc/hosts file set correctly?
Yes, just the 127.0.0.1 entry for localhost
This report shows your dns isn't correct from 'outside'.
I submitted your notice to our senior admin, he will check it out ASAP.
For now, really thanks so much, Phoenix! I'll let you know about the DNS related thing. But still I don't quite believe this matter is due to name resolving problems...
