I think I might have been a bit confusing.
When you connect to port 25, the server announces itself as
a.domain.com:

host$ telnet mail.domain.com
220 a.domain.com ESMTP Postfix
a.domain.com is not resolveable, currently. Is there a way to update zimbra so that the domain that is listed above is changed to
mail.domain.com? Is this even necessary?
