Zimbra basically won't install unless your DNS is set up perfectly. I struggled with similar issues for a quite a while before I found something that worked for my specific case. There's a sticky post called "Ubuntu installation" in this forum where I posted the steps I followed to get DNS working. You might try checking into that.
If DNS is working on your computer and not getting picked up by Zimbra then I'm at a loss as to what the problem could be. |
