My main problem are people on windows platforms using outlook My old solution gave me the ability to designate people who, using a username and password would be allowed access to view my calendar.
External people from outside my own organization.
I've made it work with ical (on my own mac).
But if i want to give people running windows access to view my calendar. i guess that i share the calendar.
But then what. ? if i click on the link in windows i need to type in a username and password (which is fine). But then they only get an .ics file ?
How do a windows user handle that ? (import it into outlook. But is that not a snapshot of events and not automatically updated). Or what ?
Am i totally misunderstanding the "external share" feature ?
