Thanks a lot Klug. I changed my hostname to match the name in /etc/hosts.
The dns is working such that it is master to mail.mydomain.com. I have installed bind9 for that purpose, and I am using zimbra 4.0.3
I came a little bit down the way. This time I get some other errors instead:
