I see the Jabber integration more as a jump-point than an actual client-integration.
You're ckecking your mail, and you mouse over a contact to get their full name and maybe their phone number, and in the bubble it says "online". Right-click their name or whatever and you can click "send this person and IM". That last part may be too client-specific, but at least knowing that they are online at that moment would be useful. |
