This may not pertain to this thread exactly... but it might help people who stumble here... searching for answers.
I too got the message "Document templates missing. Contact Administrator" after fresh install and provisioning on Mac OS Server 10.4.7.
The Fix is pretty easy but could easily be over looked. The stock install of zimbra has the document service in the "default" Class of Service turned off (unchecked)...
Thru the WebAdmin (and thru zmprov as well) if you add a new domian with the default COS and enable wiki/document for that domain... the user (wiki@domain.com) created during this process won't have access to documents nor the templates.
So the easy work around is to make sure the document level user (wiki@domain.com) has the document service/feature enabled. One can do this by either establishing a new COS which includes the documents service or enabling the documents service on the Documents User specifically.
