Certainly I could just make a normal account. But as I said, it actually seems cleaner to me to do it a a Resource (or Location), since it's not a real user. On top of that, we've got multiple divisions (within a pretty small company), and want to do this for each of them, with somebody owning the right to do the invites, so adding 5-6 extra user accounts will actually add up to some significant extra licencing (vs. the total user count) required for those special accounts, just to get some global calendars.
As I said, I think the real solution is real global calendars of some sort.
