There are no bad disk errors messages in log files and I have fsck -f /dev/hda3 and there was no change. The problem seems to be extensive because most of the system daemons fail to start. The problem seems to be related to shared libraries not found.

Now I am thinking of re-installing, but before I do that, is there a way of saving my user data with zimbra not running? Will making a file system backup of /opt/zimbra/store/ folder and restoring after a fresh install of zimbra work? I have thousands of mails in zimbra and I would like to preserve them at all costs.
