I just tried this on my local build and saw it work properly. (This feature was
bug 5946.) Quick questions:
- Did you get an error message back when you tried this? If so, what was it? Was there a stacktrace in the server log?
- Did user contain an '@' sign? I think that using an '@' in the user:pass part of the URL would give you an invalid URL...
