In general it'll be an inefficient design/setup. I think people either migrate or just decide to keep what they have. The web client talks SOAP so forcing it to talk to an IMAP server is non-trivial. A server to server IMAP sync would also be inefficient. At the end of the day using a run of the mill IMAP daemon forces you to give up many of the Zimbra features like conversations, search, tags, attachment indexing, etc. |
