Not easily. You'll still need to create the Zimlet front-end in Javascript, and to be able to use PHP for the backend without the proxy, you'd need to be running Zimbra behind an Apache server with PHP and mod_proxy enabled. Been there, done that (for different reasons), wouldn't want to go there again. Using the Zimbra Zimlet Proxy is much simpler than running Zimbra behind Apache. |
