Hello all,
I have exactly the same problem running Zimbra 3.1 on redHat 4 (no VM or so). It worked verry wel for a couple of weeks but now, sinds a few days, I get the same error... maybe this info can help you solve it somehow.

UPDATE
I forgot, I changed the IP of the server, so the server was not reachable any more. It appears the error is generated from local cache....
