I'm sorry but I think that you misunderstod my suggestion. I already knew that I can modify basically everything I want, barring the licence agreement of cource.
What I am suggesting is that when you fix a bug, and there's a long time till the next release, you simply provide the patch file, so that people can apply it themselves if it sufficiently important to them.
I can easily imagine it being quite a challenge to coordinate everything up to a release of zimbra magnitude that's why this solution albeit imperfect, might appease frustated customers and users out there. I can't speak for everybody, but I would certainly appreciate being able to solve these kinds of problems between releases. |
