This behavior was implemented in accordance with BES design. This is not zimbra specific and can be found in all implementations including Exchange, Domino and Groupwise. Sync timing for read/unread, deletes, moves and other secondary items is not immediate. As a workaround, please use 'Menu button -> Reconcile Now'. Also see more articles below:

I also opened the bug 41075 (
Bug 41075 – Deletion of instance of appointment with reccurence on BB device does not replicate to zimbra server) to investigate deletion of instance of appointment. Behavior that we have might be also per design, please copy yourself on the bug to get update.
