Is DNS configured as per
this post? Is your /etc/hosts file configured correctly? What's in the log file? When you say you 'tried to access the admin page', what error did you get? Did you use https and not http? Zimbra should start the services after an install, Why did you issue the zmcontrol start command weren't they running?
