I did about a 6-9 months ago. Although, I didn't try it with Google Calendar. Google Calendar in itself was just another attempt at solving the particular problem we had. Overall the Zimbra Funambol connector worked fine. It was pretty easy to install. However, we ran into issues with recurring appointments and time zones, which got jumbled, and that was a deal breaker.
Perhaps those issues have been resolved at this point.
