There are lots of solutions in the forums for this type of problem if you search. What does the output of the following command show:

I assume you're using a
Split DNS for your lan? Take a look in the
log files for any errors.
BTW, I'd suggest you use a valid domain name even for your LAN, in preference it would be the same as your external domain name.
