Well, my guess would be that perhaps the install script is broken. The domain name is shown with 'hostname -d' and returns the domain name only and 'hostname' returns the FQDN of the server. I haven't been through the install script as I'm fairly new to Linux but you could have a look and see what it does. If it is broken you can file it in bugzilla if you like, check if it's already listed.
