hey ian191....
i use the build-in-client from Nokia - the only thing which doesn't work... save sent mails to your zimbra sent-folder. I also had some problems in the beginning. But after upgrading my Firmware (t-mobile branded) with Nokia Software Tool it worked with these connection settings:
(german phone so you might see other config params)
my Firmware:
200.21.118
27-11-2008
RM-346
(c) Nokia E71-1 (276.06)
Connection settings:
Incoming Emails:
Username:
user.name@domain.tld
Password: zimbra-password
Incoming Server: mail.domain.tld
Used Connection: "Always Ask"
Mailbox-Name: company
Mailbox-Typ: IMAP4
Security (Ports): SSL/TLS
Port: Standard
Outgoing Emails:
my Emailadress:
user.name@domain.tld
Username:
user.name@domain.tld
Password: zimbra-password
Incoming Server: mail.domain.tld
Used Connection: "Always Ask"
Security (Ports): StartTLS
Port: Standard
User Settings:
My Mail-name: My Name
Message sent: Immediately
Fetch Options:
E-Mail-Fetch: header only

that's it... works perfect with 3G and WLAN
hope i could help!
