When I checked my zdb files I noticed I have almost 2 X more files than activated blackberries. I guess, when I remove a user from BES his/her files stay on the server. We decided to go from the scratch, i.e. delete a user on the old BES and add it to the new server.
I expect Zimbra would test similar migrations and publish KB articles how to do it and these procedures should be supported.
I'd like to see some Disaster Recovery Procedures, what happens when my system board fails, what happens if the ZCB hard drive crashes, how to backup and restore BES/ZCB servers etc.
I understand that the new ZCB GA version will support up to 250 users and I absolutely wouldn't like to migrate so many users manually. So, please give us some supported tools and procedures how to do our job efficiently.
Thanks again. | This lack of recovery procedure is the reason we can not yet take our BES service into production. We have been told that reactivation in the instance of a server failure is not an option.
