you should kill zdclient process, not the java(zdesktop) process. zdesktop is the backend service which continues to sync your emails in the background when the frontend UI is not running.

I have looked at zdesktop.log (the only log recent enough to hold any information about the app shutting down), it shows no error, i have searched the forum and bugzilla but could not find something similar. Am i the only one with this problem ?
