1. The Tasks-section of Zimbra does not support all of the features of RTM (which is why I went back to RTM, my favorite being RTM has an iPhone app). I.e. a RTM to do object has many more attributes than a Zimbra to do object so I'm not sure what a RTM todo list would look like on a Zimbra to do list. Zimbra would have to improve their to do list to support those features. Some transation might be possible, but Zimbra would have to start by allowing the todo list to subscribe to vtodo items. I really like calendar integration with a todo list and I think Zimbra should get that working with its own todo list.
2. Yes, Zimbra can only read it. You'd have to add it with RTM's interface.
3. I have nothing to add. I agree that you could code something in REST.
I agree that a better task manager is a good idea. Zimbra is good at mail, calendar and contacts but their todo list could be better. RTM is doing good work in this area and have lots of integrations but most of them are browser centric.  |
