I could when I get a chance. If it ends up being an RFE, it will likely languish in Bugzilla for a *long* time so it doesn't necessarily seem worth the time. I keep hoping Zimbra will improve their quality control (cf. forums why-zimbra-so-buggy).

How about the Junk folder, the Trash folder in the Address Book application, the Calendar application and the Tasks application? In all four places, the Delete button tool tip says "Move selected item(s) to Trash" and the items are actually permanently deleted. Only the confirmation pop-up in Tasks explicitly states that permanent deletion will occur.

There's lots to like about Zimbra, but this sort of thing is sloppy.
