Yes, I cleared the browser cache. I also tried IE. I even rebooted my Zimbra box. As I said in the initial post, it's only the Advanced Client that is having this issue, except for the login banner which is affecting both clients.
It's as though it can't find the images. Are there any log files that might help shed some light on this oddity?
