This is a tough issue. I strongly recommend you use Apple's feedback site to leave request for MobileMe to use CalDAV and/or .ics subscriptions (very odd, since iPhone 3.0 will allow both this summer.)
The only other techniques are workarounds: macosxhints.com - Sync subscribed calendars to the iPhone via MobileMe
