SunONE had the ability for a user to subscribe to a persons calendar and be granted a free/busy view automatically. I'd really like that ability in Zimbra.
The manual construction of weblinks for my colleagues freebusy calendars is cumbersome.
I tried using this link in a shared calendar, but Zimbra cannot show freebusy shared calendars like that:
https://<server>/zimbra/home/<user>/?fmt=ifb
Using this link just gives a permission denied error:
https://<server>/zimbra/home/<user>/calendar.ifb
Having every colleague (and future colleagues) share their calendar with me (and their also share theirs with each other) is a tiresome task for everyone.
Currently, our sysadmin has been forced to create a page with all our names that links to the external freebusy page. This however is a cludge:
https://<server>/home/<user email>?fmt=freebusy
Seeing as the freebusy is publically available, I see no reason why we shouldn't be able to subscribe to a persons freebusy calendar and have it shown simultaneously with our own calendar. |
