having the same problem Installing requires admin privileges. On Vista this means UAC launches the installer as an administrative user, which means that Zimbra Desktop is installed on the profile of that administrative user. There appears to be no way to install for all users. (It seems like this should also be an issue for users installing on XP)
Please, please, please fix this. One of the few things I like about Vista is being able to run as an unprivileged user while being able to escalate my privileges when absolutely necessary. The way the installer works, I can only run Zimbra Desktop if I work as an administrative user, which is bad practice.
Windows 7 is going to have the same issues (it is Vista at heart) and XP will go away eventually. |
