Yes. Also, I can confirm there is no difficulty if the message is deleted from ZWC. Here some detailed steps to replicate the issue:
1] Send message to account from somewhere
2] Read the message on any of ipod, ZWC, or Apple Mail
3] Delete the message from apple mail
4] Observe that the message is deleted from perspective of apple mail and ZWC but no notification is pushed to the ipod. (Unlike when you read the message from apple mail when instantly the ipod is told to remove the unread blue dot)
5] No number of refreshes from the ipod get rid of that orphaned message
Notes: This is true regardless of setting in apple mail about weather to move deleted messages or simply erase them. Also in apple mail the automatically compact folder option is checked but grayed out.
