How could I have been so stupid.
I just setup the MX record on Monday.
I installed everything, and it was a text case install, I got no errors.
So I decided to setup on another Computer, just to be sure it wasn't a fluke, thats when I ran into the problems.
I did look at the host file when I setup, and remember remarking it was cleaver that my public ip address was put in there automatically, but did it dawn on me that it should be my private address? No of course it didn't.
Anyway I killed LDAP and Zimbra processes.
Did a install.sh -u
Set the IP in host to my private as you suggested
Reinstalled again and everything is up and running
