I got it working.
In Zimbra I needed to specify that I could use plaintext passwords for the imap protocol.
I also needed to setup the Funambol user/password exactly the same as the Zimbra username/password.
I do have one issue still. The contacts which get synchronised from Zimbra, are the 'emailed contacts' instead of my normal 'Contacts'. Is there anyway to specify which address book needs to be synchronized or should the connector synchronize them all (it doesn't do that for me)
